Crochet Tulip Coaster - Free Written Pattern


 



COLOURS:

-White (main colour)

-Red (secondary colour)

-Green

NOTE - YOU CAN USE ANY COLOUR OF YOUR CHOICE FOR THE SECONDARY COLOUR

MATERIALS:

-4mm crochet hook

STITCHES AND ABBREVIATIONS:

ch - chain

slp st - slip stitch

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

pc st - popcorn stitch

sk - skip

PATTERN:

NOTE - This is not made with continuous rounds and uses american terms.

-With white make a magic circle and ch 2 (this does not count as a st)

Alternate beginning - ch 4 and join with a slp st in the first ch made to form a ring

Round 1 - 12 dc in the magic circle or ring, slp st into the first hdc (12 sts)

Round 2 - 2 dc in each st (24 sts)

Round 3 - dc, 2 dc in the next st (36 sts)

Round 4 - dc, dc, 2 dc in the next st (48 sts)

Switch colours from white to green

Round 5 - ch 3 (counts as a dc), [sk 2, dc, ch2, dc in the same st] *15, dc in the st with the 3 ch, ch 2, slp st into the top of the ch 3 (16 stems)

Switch colours from green to red

Round 6 - slp st into the first chain space, make a popcorn st in every chain space, slp st into the first pc st to finish the round (refer to picture 1 - 6) (16 popcorn sts)

Switch colours from red to white

Round 7 - [sc into the st right above the pc st, 3 sc in the chain space]*16 slp st into the first st (64 sts)

Round 8 - sc in the same st, [sk 1, 6 dc in the same st, sk 1, sc]*16
